THE METHOD OF "MOSAICS"


It is important to choose this method of dividing the students into groups to read and retell the text, because the groups will vary in the process of reading the text, low level students are involved into the work, this kind of activity let the lesson be more effective and all of the students are motivated. There are the names of 5 countries (according the text) on three coloured cards. The cards are in the shape of apples, lemons, pears. At first the students should choose their favourite fruit. As a result, we have 3 groups of 5 students in each group. The number of groups and students in the groups can vary according to the number of students in the class. If there are more than 15 students in the class, you can make up more groups or take more cards of fruit. The groups formed under the names of the countries, get their chapters, read them, then they divide into the groups of fruit and retell their chapters in their new group, at last the students gather in the groups of countries and guess how they’ve understood the contest, doing the final tests.
