If we want to give the younger generation a chance to be a successful citizen, it is important to define the key comprehensions which should involve the students into active collaborating: the ability to cooperate, communicate, solve problems, the ability to organize their work,use modern information and other technologies.
Situational tasks are to integrate the knowledge gained from different subjects. They can provide the wide educational space to the child. Solving some situational problems bases on attracting students, achieving some educational targets, preparing for real life, mastering language skills, identifying some information, creative use their knowledge.
Situational task is a task, which allows the student to develop their personal abilities, doing the informational activities: introduction - understanding - application - analysis - synthesis - evaluation.
Situational tasks are practical activities, connected with general knowledge. They often require some knowledge from different brunches of school curriculum. Besides, these activities include only attractive names but content. The Ss have to find out the problem, form in into the task and do it, solving this problem.
The Model of Situational Problem
1. The activity.
2. Personal issues.
3. Another format of the task (text, tables, graphs, statistics, etc.).
4. Activities due to this task.
Doing such kinds of tasks the Ss have an opportunity to develop their personal skills, using their general knowledge, their ability to explain some real life circumstances, find out the treasures of world sciences culture and techniques, be ready to choose their future profession correctly, collaborate with different people etc.
