International Gardening at School
eTwinners have received seeds, which are rarely planted on the private farms of Portugal, Italy and Turkey, partners from HEALTHY HABITS AROUND US project have shared them with us, these plants are very useful. The Oak from Portugal "BOLOTAS" (a unique tree twhich gives a good shade in summer), BARLEY SEEDS from Italy (the violet basil, containing more vitamins of all species) MOR REYHAN from Turkey (spicy herbs added to cold dishes). This week everyone from our team has planted an international pots on the windowsill together . We hope everything will sprout and we will be able to taste these plants in dishes (planning to cook them together) and plant oak seedlings on the school plot. At first eTwinners soaked seeds and acorns in nutrient solution, and in a day they were seeded into the pots.
